Your distinction seems a very helpful one to me.
Whilst on the subject of peer support, Sarah Roach set up such a group for
Midwives at Southampton and published an article about it in the Nursing
Times in ? the early 1990s (I regret that I don't have the reference). As
far as I can remember it was facilitated by her (she was Head of Midwifery
Education) and by a psychologist. I think it ran for a year or so.
