Does anyone know of any studies which have looked specifically at the
effects of architectural and interior design on pregnancy (specifically
labour) outcomes? Or on the well-being of women and staff in different
types of building?
I’ve found several references which refer to the need to make things
familiar, less frightening etc., and a couple of studies looking at general
surgical wards, but I can’t find any original studies in maternity care
measuring this.
Many thanks
