Fixed Term Lectureship in the Social Aspects of Human Genetics and Genomics
The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Department of Social
Anthropology, University of Cambridge.
Applications are invited for a fixed term Lectureship on the social aspects
of human genetics and genomics. The successful candidate will be expected
to offer teaching for both the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and
Department of Social Anthropology, with their research based in one or other
of these. 40% of their time will be devoted to the agenda of the Cambridge
Genetics Knowledge Park. They will have post graduate qualifications in
sociology, or social anthropology or a related social science with a strong
interest in research and teaching on social aspects of human genetics. It
is hoped that the successful candidate would take up the post on 1st October
2002.
The post is unestablished and will be for three years in the first instance
with the possibility of reappointment for an additional fourth year. The
stipend scale is £22,522 - £34,734 depending on experience.
