Workshop on the history of science in public culture

Programme
The workshop includes two activating talks by international scholars,
three parallel sessions, a concluding summary presentation of the three
sessions, and a final discussion of the results of the day.
First general talk: Recent trends in the history of science
popularisation.
Second general talk: Why should the public understand science? An on-going
debate.

Participation
Researchers with an interest in science in public culture as well as
researchers involved in The History of Science in Denmark Project are
welcome to join the workshop. Please note that the workshop sessions will
be based on active participation and that the number of participants is
limited to 30.
We especially encourage post graduate students to participate.
Registration and payment
Registration deadline is March 3, 2003. Further information on the

Participation in the workshop is free of charge. However, participation in
the organised meals must be paid by the participants. Lunch is DKK120 and
dinner DKK 200.
