Philosophers and historians of science, as well as scientists, ethicists and others interested in the interrelation between history and philosophy of science, are invited to submit
- contributed papers
- contributed symposia on any topic related to the theme of the meeting, details of which are to be found in the attached document.
Papers and symposia bearing on one of the topics outlined in the second part of the announcement, "Some suggestions for contributed papers/posters and/or sessions" are especially welcome. Submissions from non-Western scholars are strongly encouraged.

All submissions should include the author's or authors' full name, postal and e-mail addresses, institutional affiliation(s), telephone number and a 100-word abstract.
Submitted papers may take the form of either an extended abstract, of maximal length 1000 words, or of a full, preliminary or final, version, of maximal length 5000 words.
Submitted symposia should include a detailed presentation of the theme, of
maximal length 1000 words, and extended abstracts of each of the individual
presentations, again of maximal length 1000 words; alternatively, the
symposium can take the form of a round-table, with a brief presentation of
the main topic developed by each of the participants. The names and
affiliations of all the participants in the symposium should be included.

The subject field should read "Submission Joint Session", the body of the message should include the factual information indicated above and the short abstract; extended abstracts or full papers should be sent as attached documents. Postal submissions will also be accepted; they should be sent
to the address below.
Accepted papers will be approved for either a 20-minute oral presentation or a poster. If the author has a preference, she should indicate it. Accepted symposia will take the form of a 90-minute session, the format being left to the discretion of the organizer(s).
