CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES IN TEACHING HISTORY AND
PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE - including Hist/Phil of Technology &
Medicine.

A PRS-Learning and Teaching Support Network event, in
collaboration with the Institute for Feminist Theory and Research
This one-day event will be devoted to two main areas of interest to
Higher Education teachers of history and/or philosophy of science
and related sub-disciplines, viz.
1) Teaching Challenging Topics: feminism, sexuality and other
socio-cultural issues in relation to science/technology/medicine
2) Innovations in Teaching and Learning: pedagogical uses of the
WWW and finding alternatives to essay-based assessment.

Contributions of presentations or other discussion materials are
invited on these or any other issues of convern to H.E. teachers of
History/Philosophy of Science, Technology, Medicine
