Shared Visions
incorporating Architectural Exchange 2002
learning and teaching on the borders of architecture, art, communication,
dance, design, drama, landscape, media, music, performance and theatre
1-3 September 2002, The Old Ship Hotel, Brighton, UK
An international higher education conference run by the UK Learning and
Teaching Support Network's Subject Centres for Art, Design and Communication
(ADC-LTSN), Built Environment (CEBE) and Performing Arts (Palatine)
The Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN) has been established to
enhance and support learning and teaching in higher education. In the
creative and performing arts there is an increasing demand for and interest
in interdisciplinary and collaborative work, and a consequent need to create
opportunities for dialogue and the exchange of ideas across the borders of
the various arts disciplines. Through the sharing of experiences, practices
and approaches to learning and teaching, the aim of this collaboration
between three LTSN subject centres with an interest in arts based learning
and teaching is to enhance the knowledge and practice of learning and
teaching in the creative arts disciplines. A small number of keynote
speakers will address critical issues within creative arts education.
Details about the conference, including booking information and a list of
accepted presentations, are available from the conference website:
