CENTRE FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING SOCIOLOGY, ANTHROPOLOGY AND POLITICS
CULTURAL STUDIES CO-ORDINATOR - Part-time (minimum 20% appointment)
Required to join a team C-SAP consisting of a Director, Computing and
Information Technology Coordinator and Communications Administrator and an
Academic Coordinator for each of Sociology, Anthropology and Politics. Each
Academic Coordinator works with an Administrator.
Your duties would include establishing a contact person in each higher
education outlet where the subject is taught, developing a database and
network of staff and students interested in learning and teaching,
developing learning a teaching resources on the Centre's website, and
contribute to the selection process for funding projects in a wide range of
Cultural Studies departments.
Applicants should have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant
discipline, teaching experience in higher education together with an
excellent publication record.
The Centre is one of 24 national centres established two years ago to
enhance learning and teaching in higher education. Each Centre covers
specific subjects, in this case, Sociology, Anthropology and Politics. There
is also a Generic Centre and together they form the Learning and Teaching
Support Network (LTSN). The Centre reports to the LTSN Executive.
Salary on a range £20,267 - £32,215 a year, (pro- rata). Post available for
12 months.
