Content Management for Information Professionals, London, 11th April 2002
http://litc.sbu.ac.uk/cm/
Museums like libraries, archives and other information services are
increasingly concerned with content management, because they
* have a lot of digitised content they need to manage
* want to get involved in the organisation's or a project's procurement of
a CM system
* want everyone to contribute to the intranet, without losing control of
site structure, design and usability
* need to keep their site up to date, but the web master is working on their
own
* want to personalise their site for different users
* have lots of links and other e-content that need to be managed
This conference with speakers from a wide range of backgrounds should be a
good opportunity to develop your understanding of the issues, and to make
new contacts with people facing the same challenges.
