COMPUTER ASSOCIATE Grade III (Closing date: 17 June 2002)

The Fitzwilliam Museum is seeking a Computer Associate Grade III to assist
the Computer Manager in the delivery of the JISC FAIR project and in
providing a service of procurement, installation, maintenance and support
of all computing and network equipment (servers and desktop PCs) and
software used within the Museum. This means primarily supporting Microsoft
Windows 2000 operating system and Office 2000 application suite and being
able to resolve user problems and queries relating to these (some 70
users). There will also be some requirement to develop and maintain the
Museum’s web site and Microsoft Access databases.
An appropriate degree (or equivalent qualification) or proven relevant
experience in the field is required. Sound experience of Microsoft Windows
2000 and Office 2000 in a networked environment is essential. Previous
experience of developing Microsoft Access databases is desirable, as is
familiarity with email and ideally HTML, XML, Photoshop, Windows 2000 Pro
and Server. Attention to detail, adaptability, a flexible and mature
approach and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
