Conveyor Workshop
The Conveyor multimedia authoring system have been designed to enable museum
staff to quickly and economically produce interactive multimedia programmes
without the need to understand computer programming. Since its release the
system has rapidly become popular with museum professionals in Europe and
Asia.
This weekend there will be a workshop on the system at the V&A as a part of
this years EVA conference.
The workshop aims to provide users and prospective users with
up-to-the-minute news about the latest improvements to the software; provide
a hints and tips forum focused on the various stages of project development;
present examples from recently assembled presentations made in Europe and
Asia; highlight important technical issues; enable users to exchange their
experiences and inspirations and provide a feedback route to inform future
software development. There will also be an update about an international
competition for Conveyor authored projects.
The session will take place on Saturday 27th July in the Jean Muir Seminar
Room @ the V&A. Registration is at 10.00 with a 10.15 start and ends at
12.45. There is no fee for the event as the cost of the room and
refreshments (coffee etc.) is covered. However, a firm commitment to attend
on the day is required from those saying they want to, as space is limited!
