Export Opportunities and Advice on Cultural Heritage and Tourism Markets
An Export Showcase - 3rd October 2002 at the DTI Conference Centre, 1
Victoria Street, London SW1H OET This event will highlight some of the
opportunities on offer in this sector, and provide advice and practical
help to firms and organisations who want to export their skills and
services overseas. Many nations throughout the world are looking to
restore and develop their own cultural heritage in order to promote
tourism or to improve the quality of life of their own citizens, and
British expertise in the form of consultancy or hands-on project
management in these areas is much in demand. If you work in any aspect
of heritage, tourism and museum services and you are an established
exporter, or are exploring the opportunities for the first time, Trade
Partners UK & Business Link's network of experts offers objective
advice, in-depth information and unrivalled experience to help you
understand markets, develop contacts and create new trading
opportunities. The programme will give participants an opportunity to
talk to people who have already successfully exported in this sector, to
discuss their experiences face to face and to shape future support from
government. The individual `workshop' programmes will involve case
studies and discussions presented by industry specialists and overseas
commercial officers from Trade Partners UK. Programme The programme
includes case studies from Hungary and Croatia; Iran and Tunisia as well
as presentations on future export plans for those regions. We will hear
from the Embassy staff in Denmark about their work and from Business
Link London and Trade Partners UK on the support available for
exporters. In the afternoon there will be a workshop focussing on Brazil
and the new market research guide Built Heritage and Cultural Tourism in
Brazil.
