Hi I'm a newcomer to this group, a bit of a misfit perhaps as my current job
is to promote JISC and other e-resources to FE colleges, within a project
called RSC Wales, based at University of Wales Swansea (one of 13 JISC
regional support centres for FE). However I used to be a subject librarian
in the social sciences so hopefully can still relate to the work which the
rest of you are doing.
The person to contact about JISC resource guides is Philip Pothen at JISC
[log in to unmask], he coordinates all the Resource Guide Advisors.
My understanding is that steering groups have lately been advising on scope
and selection of items for the print flyers and that production is planned
for sometime early in the spring term, but some early promotion has happened
already this week at Online and on the social sciences/health and life
sciences conference circuits this term.
I attach some further information which Philip circulated to various lists
earlier this term.
If you'd like to follow this up, I'd suggest an initial email to Philip from
somebody on behalf of this group, might be the best way forward.
Lis
