New COPAC Interface
(with apologies for cross-posting)
A new version of the COPAC Web interface will be released on Tuesday
22nd October. This incorporates a number of new features:
- A 'Go to page...' feature allows you to move quickly to any page of
a large result set.
- In the Full Record display you can initiate a new search by
clicking on highlighted sections of the record, including Author,
Title, and Subject headings.
- Record Tagging is now completely reliable, removing the problems
associated with use of the browser Back button.
- You can now download records directly to your PC rather than
requesting them by email.
- There are changes to the download record. New fields have been
added to the normal download record and a brief version of the
download record is now available. There is also the option of a new
download record format, offering a more concise presentation
without the field tags.
- The duplicate British Library records are now being consolidated
in the result set.
- All Help pages have been fully revised.
The new interface is based on completely revised software. This also
means an improved service via Z39.50 access for those using their own
origin software, such as EndNote.
