Dear Colleagues,
JSTOR, MIMAS and the JISC are very pleased to release today the Arts
& Sciences II Collection and Business Collection in the UK and
Ireland. You will have seen the official announcement from the JISC
about the availability of these two collections, and this message
contains further information.
JSTOR ARTS & SCIENCES II COLLECTION
The Arts & Sciences II Collection is a multi-disciplinary collection
containing journals and disciplines that complement those in the Arts
& Sciences I Collection. When completed at the end of 2002, the Arts
& Sciences II Collection will include at least 100 journals, with new
titles in existing JSTOR disciplines such as History, Economics, and
Asian Studies, as well as core titles in new disciplines, such as
Classics and Archaeology. We are especially pleased that African,
Latin American, Slavic, and Middle Eastern Studies are among the new
disciplines in this Collection. Currently there are 51 Arts &
Sciences II titles publicly available.
JSTOR BUSINESS COLLECTION
The Business Collection, when acquired separately from other JSTOR
collections, offers 46 new titles, and approximately 1,700,000 pages
of new content. For those who are already participants in the Arts &
Sciences I and the Arts & Sciences II Collections, acquiring the
Business Collection will add 20 new titles. These titles build upon
those already available in the current Economics and Finance
disciplines, and add to the JSTOR archive fields such as Accounting,
Marketing, Management, and Operations Research. Journals new to the
collection include Academy of Management Journal, Academy of
Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, and Strategic
Management Journal, to name just a few. All titles are available now,
with the exception of Oxford Economic Papers. We are finalising
arrangements with the publisher of this title, and anticipate its
release soon.
