* Have you ever wondered how data is chosen for Biological Abstracting
and Indexing services?
* How do you know that your database search has produced the best possible
results?
* How can you use that data in your teaching or user education sessions?
EDINA are holding an afternoon session looking at BIOSIS Previews on
Monday 24th of June to help answer these, and other related questions.
EDINA and BIOSIS staff will present sessions covering aspects of searching
the database and its advanced features. There will also be demonstrations
on the use of BIOSIS in Learning and Teaching as well as an opportunity to
hear about the future development of the database and the EDINA service.
The session is aimed at staff involved in supporting end-users, academic
teaching staff and researchers from subscribing and non-subscribing
institutions.
This session is free and will take place at Netskills, The University of
Newcastle from 2:00pm until 4:30pm.
