 It is a great pleasure to kindly advises you of Islamic Data Bank
(IDB) activities in brief for your information and possible partnership.

 IDB was established to be an information center aiming at design
and implementation of informational projects as to scientific research
sources of issues affiliated with Islam and Muslims.

 The activities of the institution include the following:

I. Provision a bibliographical database for Islamic sources published
out in the world (Books, Articles, Dissertations) with abstracts and
subject index.

The related information is released as:

* Trilingual Website: www.islamicdatabank.com
* Islamic Books Quarterly (printed matter and online in: www.I-B-
Q.com)- Persian, Arabic, English
* Annual Reference Book including Bibliography and abstract of
Islamic sources published in Iran (Printed matter and CD) – Persian
* Reference 2000 including Bibliography and abstracts of Islamic
sources published in the world between (1997 – 2000). (Printed matter and
CD) – Persian Version. Arabic and English version under processing

II. Planning of eight-folded International Data Bank including:

a) Islamic Biographical Dictionary (Figures, researchers and writers
of Islamic works from early Islam to date)
b) Islamic Centers and Institutions
c) Publishers of Islamic works
d) Islamic periodicals
e) Libraries with collection of Islamic materials
f) Exhibitions of Islamic publications
g) Islamic conferences

III. Preparation of Subject Bibliographies containing:

a) Bibliography of Quranic studies
b) Bibliography of Mahdaviat
c) Bibliography of Islamic History
d) Bibliography of Reference Books on Islamic studies
e) Bibliographical Index of Islamic manuscripts in the world

Among the other major activities, project of revitalizing works of Prof.
Falaturi, the late contemporary Islamic researcher, needs consideration.
In the project, all of this works are published.

While introducing productive works, IDB declares its readiness to take part
in scientific-research projects in the fields of Islamic sources including
areas of informatics activity, provision of sources, subject indexing,
bibliography, etc.

IDB representatives have participated in International Frankfurt Book Fair
this year and waiting to receive you with dialogues. If possible, keep in
touch with us during exhibition days for a timely negotiation, please.
