Dear Duncan,
Many thanks for your offer. A slight snag amy be the fact (that will be
explained in more detail in the minutes of the Edinburgh meeting) that the
"January" meeting is going to have to take place in December in order to
preserve the annual periodicity of the Pearson lecture. I had offered SOAS
as the venue, but I personally would much prefer to take up your offer.
Would it be possible to hold it in the Institute with a meeting in December
2002?
Best wishes,
Peter

Dear Peter
Thank you. I wanted to bring to your attention that the Library is
developing an exhibition to be held at the Ismaili Centre to celebrate the
Silver Jubilee of the Institute. As part of these celebrations, we would be
interested in hosting the January MELCOM meeting, also at the Centre if this
can be arranged, as well as giving a tour of the exhibition and/or
presentation of highlights of the Library's collections over this period.
Let me know what you think. I am going to Tehran shortly but perhaps we
could meet to talk this over at the end of the month?
With best wishes
Yours
Duncan
