There are also more academic journal databases. I know you will want BMA
rather than BL access (tho of course you are welcome to come here), but just
for info on the databases see listings of databases we have via:
http://www.bl.uk/collections/cd-opss.html and
http://www.bl.uk/collections/em_ss_gl.html (from that page,I would
particularly recommend social science citation index and sociological
abstracts).
If you are getting *very* thorough, we now also have quite large e journal
holdings which can be searched, tho only free text.

Subject: Social care databases - advice
Dear all
We are planning a new topic for Clinical Evidence on Domestic Violence.
I have a feeling that we ought to be searching some databases that cover
social care specifically, rather than just
Medline/Embase/Psycinfo/Cochrane for this sort of topic.
If anyone is experienced in searching for social care issues, I really
would appreciate some advice on the most appropriate databases to search
for this sort of question. I won't be searching this until November. I
know that Caredata is free via NELH - so any info about this would be
great.
Thanks for your help
with best wishes
Sam
