Take a look at NEDSTAT at <http://www.nedstat.com/EN> We've
been using it on the Exeter Medical Library website since
February 2001. It's free, providing you don't have too many
pages, and furthermore it's great fun! It provides weekly
ranking of use compared with other registered websites in
the same category. It will provide weekly, monthly even
hourly usage figures. You can see where in the world access
is coming from, how access is made (I.E. Netscape, etc.)
You even have a list of the last 10 visitors to the site.
To see how it works click on the tiny red graph at the foot
of our homepage at <http://www.ex.ac.uk/library/eml/>
All that said, we collect web usage statistics in a number
of different ways and the counters don't end up providing
the same results so it's questionable how accurate they all
are. However, the figures from one counter will give a
general trend of usage.
