Dear all
I have rashly promised to help a registrar with a tall order that is staring
to look pretty impossible. Any suggestions/help gratefully received.
Basically it's a needle in a haystack job. The doctor wants to add some bits
to her cv, and has decided she would like to add details of some abstracts
that appeared with her name on some 6 or 7 years ago (I didn't ask why
now....) She doesn't think they were ever published as papers, she doesn't
know where they were printed, she doesn't know the titles. All we have to go
on is that the co-authors would have been combinations of
R. W. F. Campbell
Steve Furniss
Q Fang
Campbell will appear on all the abstracts, as will this doctor's name, which
is Anita Arya. They were attached to the academic cardiology department of
Newcastle University.
We also know that the subject of the topic was QT dispersion.
Medline and Embase have both been searched to no avail.
Oh - just to add to the fun the doctor would like the details by the end of
today if possible...
(And she has just been on the phone to say one was probably an editorial
rather than an abstract - Autonomic control of QT dispersion, Fang, Arya,
Campbell, no more details. One of the co authors is now dead and his papers
all destroyed.)
So get your Sherlock hats on please.
Ta much
