I should just clarify - following the same query from two different people -
the formal requirement to be "employed by the NHS" should in fact be a more
user-friendly "involved in delivering Library or Information Services to the
NHS" as who pays your wage bill is academic (or indeed not!). The Trent
Institute for Health Services Research which is funding this opportunity works
with both academic and NHS librarians in delivering services to the NHS hence
the requirement.
So if you work in HE but deliver services to NHS staff you are eligible to
apply! but in practical terms you will still probably want to be no more than
about 1.5 hours travel from Sheffield.
