Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN)
Assistant Information Officer
The Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network is looking for an
enthusiastic information professional with an interest in literature
searching. The main duties of the
post involve carrying out extensive literature searches on behalf of
guideline developers, and assisting in the acquisition and organisation of
documentation identified
through these searches. Further information about SIGN and its methodology

The successful applicant will be a qualified information professional with
some knowledge or experience of searching electronic databases, preferably
in medicine or
health care. A degree or diploma in a life sciences subject would be
advantageous. Applications from recent graduates working towards their
chartership will be considered.
This post is available for a fixed term to the end of March 2003. Salary
will be within the range £17,111 to £19,106 per annum (pro rata).
