Dear librarians:
We would like to undertake a short survey on "Essential Nursing References",
a product of the Interagency Council on Information Resources for Nursing
(ICIRN). "Essential Nursing References" is a comprehensive listing of
reference materials considered essential to accessing information related to
all aspects of the nursing profession. The list includes print, multimedia,
and electronic sources to support nursing practice, education,
administration, and research activities. "Essential Nursing References" has
been produced biennially (in even years) and published in September-October
issue of Nursing & Health Care Perspectives (currently, Nursing Education
Perspectives, the official journal of the National League for Nursing). It
is also posted online on the NLN website at
http://www.nln.org/nlnjournal/nurse_res.htm. Reprints of the list are
available from ICIRN (http://www.nursingworld.org/icirn/index.htm).
We would like to know how important to you is to have this publication
printed. Do you believe it is crucial to have "Essential Nursing
References" published in the NLN's journal? Or would it be enough just post
it online? We would appreciate your answering the short questionnaire
below. Please X, underline, bold or highlight your answers. If you prefer,
you can just write your comments. Please send your response to Yelena
Friedman at [log in to unmask], NOT to this list.
