Hello all
We are responsible for developing the content of our Library website
which sits on our Trust intranet. As part of the development of the
site we have collected a substantial number of external internet
links which we wish to make available. At the moment our Trust policy
is for all Depts. to seek permission from a Web Editorial Committee
for the approval of all external links. However as more Depts in the
Trust are developing their sites the numbers of external links that
need to have permission granted is growing quicker than the
frequency of Web Editorial meetings and a more streamlined way of
allowing external links needs to be explored.
We are therefore exploring whether or not it is feasible to have
some general guidelines that each dept would follow particularly to
do with possible issues surrounding links to commercial sites,
peer-reviewed sites etc.
Has anyone come across or developed similar guidelines that may be
useful for this task?
All help appreciated.
