I found out what happened to my messages from lis-medical. I'm passing this
on in case useful for others, either if your lis-medical messages stop
mysteriously too, or if you want them to stop temporarily (eg on leave)...
Presumably applies to other jisc-mail lists, too.
Go to the list home page at http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/lis-medical.html
Click link to 'join or leave list (or change settings)'
The resulting page shows you your current settings.
Go right to the bottom and check if there is a tick next to the option 'Mail
delivery disabled temporarily'. Somehow, that's what had happened to me (I
didnt do it myself- jiscmail glitch. I was still getting crossposted
messages to similar lists, which is why I got *some* messages).
If you want to put this option on or off (or any of the others), follow
link at top of page saying 'click here to view and change your current
options' .You will need to register a password if you havent used this
before. Then just change whatever you want to, then click on 'update
options'.
The jiscmail server better not tinker with my options again- far too much
hassle to find and fix!
By the way, the eagle-eyed amoung you will note I am now working for a new
section at the BL. But my job should remain similar.
