Does anyone have clarification of or any comments to make on the role and
jurisdiction of confederation librarians, particularly when a situation
arises when their views differ from those held by the local
librarians/library managers. Does confederation funding of library staff and
resources give confederation librarians the power to impose their decisions
when agreement cannot be reached? We should be grateful for any comments,
especially from library staff and confederation librarians. We apologise
for posting this request “anonymously” - it is unfortunate that this is felt
necessary but it is, and we now need to raise this issue and hope we get
some feedback.
If people are happy to reply to lis-medical then that’s fine. If however
anyone needs to reply in confidence, they can reply to us at:

lis-medical.
