A hardy perennial basic problem...
Our readers cant find anything on the open shelves without using BL
shelfmarks, so most need a pen to write them down. And a substantial
minority dont bring one with them. Most of them are students, if that helps
clarify...
We do sell biros at the photocopy desk (when its open), but have had no
success so far with providing them openly. Ordinary ones go in a few
minutes, and the ones on a chain and heavy base get unchained and go in a
few days.
Has anyone tried the ones I've seen in the bank(HSBC) with a retracting
metal cord (tho they are rather irritating to use)? Were they nicked too,
and if not, where did you get supplies from?
Another option would be to bulk buy the tiny ones (like you get in Argos),
but in these cost cutting days I dont see that being popular.. If anyone
tried that, did you go thru *lots* and who supplied them?
Any other ideas?
Please reply to me and I'll do a brief summary for the list.
Thanks!
Fiona
