Tony's point about HLG membership is a good one - also those of us who are
"supervising" new graduates aspiring to Chartership (will it be pronounced
Sartership?) have an obligation to remain on the Register, or we will be
letting them down. Let me also recommend to you (if you are not already a
member) the European Association for Health Information and Libraries it's
good stuff: - modest membership fees; great networking opportunities; lots
of interesting things to learn from our European colleagues and
opportunities to share best practice. The next EAHIL conference will be in
Cologne (Sept 16-21) Papers will be in English, and the conference price,
to be finalised shortly, is being kept as low as possible to encourage wide
participation. Any one who is interested in further details about EAHIL
membership or the conference is invited to contact me, or see also
conference details on the website at http://www.zbmed.de/eahil2002/
