I've had a request to instal a dedicated PC in the library for the exclusive use of the new trainee practitioners. When I asked why the PC needed to be for this group's exclusive use the explanation was that it would be fitted with an email system needed by the trainees and would also have some sort of hot links to vital training sites. What do other librarians feel about libraries hosting facilities dedicated exclusively to one group of users?
