A user is to write a protocol for the use of "allergy bands" (i.e.
wristbands to alert staff to any known hypersensitivity to drugs or
foodstuffs) for patients in the pre- and post-operative period.
Although this is a common enough practice, there seems little written about
it.
Can anyone advise of local guidelines or protocols in this area?
