Merseyside and Cheshire zone of the North West Public Health Observatory
(NWPHO) are holding a free workshop for all users of health information,
combined with the launch of the "Older people and health in the North West
of England". The workshop and launch is a half-day event with lunch
provided and will take place on the 18th of November 2002 at 9.30am
(registration) - 1pm at the Foresight centre based at the University of
Liverpool.
The Merseyside and Cheshire Zone of the NWPHO is located in the Department
of Public Health at the University of Liverpool and the aim of the zone is
to help local users make better use of health-related information by
increasing awareness of information sources. The launch will feature
workshops, particularly for community-based users of health information,
aimed at addressing how awareness and access can be improved.
The "Older people and health in the North West of England" report brings
together a range of information to illustrate the social and geographic
inequalities in the health of older people in the North West region. A
free copy of the report will be provided to all participants at the event.
