Apologies for cross posting: Northumbria University conference on
information in primary care
INFORMATION STRATEGIES FOR PRIMARY CARE: DEVELOPING AN EVIDENCE BASED
APPROACH: 27th September 2002
Spaces are still available on this one day conference. Further to the
previous announcement, the National electronic Library for Health (NeLH)
will be providing sponsorship and an overview of current primary care
developments
In recent years, the need for access to information by health professionals
in primary care has intensified. This one-day conference, organised jointly
by the Information Management Research Institute (IMRI) and the Centre for
Primary & Community Care Learning (CPCCL) at Northumbria University, will
help people involved with primary care information plan future services. It
will take place on the 27th September 2002 at Collingwood College, Durham
University.
A key feature of the day will be reports on four recent or current research
projects on primary care information. These projects cover such areas as
implications of primary care and social services partnerships, NHS
information access to higher education students and systems needs, and
evidence skills training in primary care. Delegates will take these
findings forward to the afternoon group session that will be focused on
developing an information strategy.
