Information & Knowledge Manager
Full-Time 37 hours per week (notional)
Salary up to L28,000 depending on experience
We require an astute and experienced individual to plan and deliver a knowledge and library service for the Health Authority, identifying appropriate areas of enquiry to support the performance management and the strategic development roles of the Health Authority.
The post will be based in a joint unit providing Library and Knowledge services to the Trent Strategic Health Authority and the Trent Workforce Development Confederation and the postholder will contribute to the development and running of this office. The offices will be in Sandiacre (Junction 25 off the M1).
The role will involve providing expert advice and technical skills in data assembly, analysis and presentation as well as developing an effective network with others who have a 'knowledge' function. This will also incorporate monitoring, evaluating and reporting use of the service, co-ordinating training programmes in use of search and retrieval tools and being involved in the development of SHA internet/intranet sites.
To be successful in this role the post holder will need to demonstrate effectiveness of network and relationships, compliance with statutory and legal issues as well as budgetary control and delivery of team goals.
Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in Librarianship or Information Service with 5+ years experience and have in-depth knowledge of:
* The principals of knowledge management
* MS Office Suite, internet technologies and databases
* Design and implementation of websites
High-level skills are required in:
* Relationship Management
* Communication (written, oral, presentation)
* Project/programme management
* Budgeting/financial management
