We decided to cancel our Cochrane Library CD-ROM this year for 2 reasons -
1. it is now freely available on the Internet and 2. we were being charged
over £700.00 for 2002. This price came as a bit of a shock as we renewed it
last year through our subscriptions agency not knowing the price but
assuming it would be around £300 which we have always paid. Having
cancelled it at this late stage because it was a 'Bill later' subscription
the company in the US (who now seem to control the subs) still charged us
for the quarter.
Can I just ask - what are other people paying for the CD-ROM version? And
has anyone ever tried to cancel it mid-year?
Many thanks, Sharon Springham
