ccing to list as not sure if may be of interest to others- apologies if not!
You could get some rough idea from Medline, using their index terms and
limiting by publication date..
Using PubMed to do it free (http://pubmed.gov)
1. Type this into the search box(note that brackets are square):
dementia[mh]
(unless you want specifically Alzheimer Disease[mh]- this is one of the
narrower indexes terms included in a dementia search. PubMed explodes
automatically and so includes this. Click on the MeSH browser in the blue
left menu if you want to find out more about the indexing.)
2.Click on limits
3.Choose yourself a date range in the 'publication date' bit, then click on
the 'go' button next to the search box.
eg of results:
1990- 1991 4030
2000- 2001 7174
(this is better than to 2002 as there will a stack unindexed that were
published this year).
Proviso: Medline covers well over 4k international medical journals- but
there are lots more, in medicine and in psychology.

Subject: figures for citation of research on dementia
Hello list
I have an enquirer looking for figures that might state the increase in
published research on dementia? Is there anywhere that holds these types of
figures...eg 10 years ago x amount was published on dementia and now Y
amount is published?
All ideas gratefully received.
With many thanks
