I am reviewing our policy on interlibrary loan charging and wonder if some
of you could spare the time to answer the following questions:
(many thanks to Hilary Cummings of Middlesex University Business School
for some of the questions):
1 Do you charge users for Interlibrary loans?
2 Do you charge the same amount for books and journal articles?
3 Do you provide some book interloans free of charge and then introduce a
sliding scale of charges?
4 Do you charge more for theses?
5 Do you charge by the page for photocopies? Do you add on an admin fee?
6 Do you charge staff and students equally?
7 Do you make distinctions between types of student eg between
undergraduate and postgraduate?
Many thanks for your help. I will send a summary to the list.
