With apologies for cross-postings
The Archive-Skills Consultancy is running a training day on records
management on the 24th April. Details are below.
Venue: The Meeting Place 153 Drummond Street, London, NW1 2PB
The day is intended as an introduction to the principles and practice of
records management, suitable for anyone setting up a records management
programme and for all staff working in records centres. There will be a
morning session of presentations followed by workshops in the afternoon.
Firstly participants will learn how to articulate the importance and value
of a records management programme. They will be given a comprehensive
overview of the records management function followed by a case study on
implementation. The afternoon workshops provide the chance to tackle two key
records management activities for themselves.
Participants will receive the course handbook with supporting notes for the
presentations and other useful resources such as a list of relevant websites
and a bibliography. The course fee of £110 also includes lunch (with
vegetarian option, please let the directors know if you have any other
special dietary needs) and tea and coffee.
