Overview
The JISC Development programmes (http://www.jisc.ac.uk/progs/index.html)
have been exploring ways to help colleges and universities support and
enhance learning and teaching activities. At this conference you will find
out about
the lessons we have learned, tools that have been developed and the
resources available to help create an improved learning environment at your
institution.
Programme and structure of day
The conference programme has three parallel strands:
MLEs, VLEs and portals: creating a Virtual Learning Environment, Managed
Learning Environment or portal that provide a supportive learning
environment.
Incorporating and using digital content: using digital content effectively
in your learning, teaching and research.
Interoperability with middleware and standards: linking-up your learning
support system so that it is flexible, secure and sustainable; sharing your
student information, digital resources and re-using your learning materials
internally and externally.
Who is the conference aimed at?
Members of the FE and HE community currently investigating how to create a
learning environment and who need to know what has already been achieved and
what tools and resource are available.
