Hi Martin
I have looked at your webpage and it looks very interesting. In the
past I have done some information skills training for foundation degree
level students. The work was assessed and went towards their final
first year grade. The assessed work consisted of compiling lists of
citations using the Harvard referencing method. Writing abstracts of
articles and evaluating a web page which involved doing a presentation
for which they were marked on the inclusion of particular evaluative
criteria. Hope this is of help, if you need to ask me anything please
don't hesitate. Could you please let me know who you are hoping to get
it validated by and whether this will attract any funding.
Thanks in anticipation

Subject: Integrating information skills with study skills
Dear Colleagues
Does anybody have any experience of integrating information skills
and/ or IT skills training (information literacy) with traditional study
skills? This is what we are trying to do here at St Mary's and I
would like to see examples of simillar approaches. Our outline pilot
course (which we hope to get validated next year) is at

Regards
Martin.
