Trevor, Your hard work is much appreciated - I think you are a victim of
your own success! Fame has its drawbacks. I'm feeling guilty, as I suspect I
may have chased inadvertently on occasions, no excuses, just slapdash from
haste. Many apologies, & keep up the good work.

Subject: Patience
We, in the Bodleian Law Library, have, like Penny, experienced a steep rise
in the number of requests since we ceased to be a back-up library and,
likewise, ask colleagues to be patient since processing inter-library loans
is one duty that we have to fit in with many, many other duties and we
have to prioritise. We also receive some chaser requests for items when we
have not received the original requests. I am, at the moment, the one
person here dealing with most, if not all of the I.L.L. requests we receive
from other libraries. I am having to get used to the new system of claiming
from the British Library and work out various teething problems at our end
regarding it. Having said all this, I am still, as always, trying to turn
the
requests around as quickly as I can since I realise that there are readers
in the requesting libraries who are awaiting a response from us.
Yours Sincerely
Trevor Langrish,
Bodleian Law Library
