Hello
Apologies for duplication of this e-mail to both lis-serials and
lis-e-journals.
As you will be aware there are many instances now where a library has "free"
online access or paid online access to certain e-journals if they have a
subscription to the print equivalent. The availability of online access has
meant that at our institution we can send our print equivalents for binding
throughout the academic year (previously we did all our binding during the
summer vacation).
I would like to obtain feedback from other institutions on whether or not
the availability of e-journals has changed their binding policy. Do you
still bind print journals where you now have online access? Have you stopped
binding those journals that are available in print and online?
I can summarise any feedback and post at a later date.
Many thanks
Sharron
