Here at the University of Kent, we are also interested in subscribing to the
PsycARTICLES CHEST deal.
Our current APA print subs cost us over £4K, whereas for the size of the
institution, access to the entire APA title catalogue via CHEST, will cost
just over £6K.
We are still hopeful that there will be enough interest to allow the deal to
progress, and with this in mind, have cancelled all our APA subscriptions
(we do not have the resources to pay for both).
If the deal has not been agreed by early December, we shall be looking to
reinstate our cancelled titles for next year, and have abandon all thought
of subscribing to PsycARTICLES.

Well, we are interested, but not for 10000 pounds plus for 40 or so titles.
We already pay a lot for Psycinfo compare with other databases and don't
wish to pay inflated prices for the journals too. Publications from
professional bodies are usually cheaper than from commercial publishers so
why are APA different?
