hiya, the chartership special of Impact last year had articles on both
proforma and portfolio, electronic versions of articles at
http://www.careerdevelopmentgroup.org.uk/impact/0501/0501impact.htm
- the problem is indeed there are very few examples around for candidates to
look at. The RLO's would love to have more so when you send them into LA
make sure to tick box allowing one copy to be used by the LA - those are
what go to the RLO's, and as I said proforma's and portfolio's are precious
few on the ground. This is going to be especially important if continuous
CPD is by portfolio, as I would expect that will greatly increase the no. of
folk wanting to look at any form of LIS portfolio's.
I also have another proforma article, which I haven't found space to publish
yet so if anyone wants a copy let me know and I'll check with the author
it's okay to do so and then email it over to the interested parties

There's a useful article about doing the proforma option in Impact, which is
on the web at
http://www.careerdevelopmentgroup.org.uk/impact/0501/proforma.htm.
I am also doing this option and would be interested to hear from anyone
who's done it. There don't appear to be many sample copies of proformas
available. Vicky Edwards & I work for the same firm but in the Manchester &
London offices, so we have different RLOs, but they both gave us the same
sample proforma! - perhaps its the only one they have available.
