Well it won't be ALA after the amalgamation even if we charter before the
amalgamation anyway, will it? (please someone from LA correct me if I'm wrong!)
You can only be ALA if you're Chartered and are a currently paid up member of
the LA. I took that to mean No LA, no ALA!

I heard that (as with prior changes to Charter requirements) if you
register as a Charter candidate before the amalgamation, then the Regulations in
force at the time you registered will continue to apply? (again, LA people
please correct me if this is wrong). I would expect this to apply for a while
but perhaps not forever!
