Apologies to those who may have already received this information.
I have copied information circulated to User Group members,if you are not a member this looks to be a good time to join ( about £10 pa) as from reading through the following it would appear there may be funding available for local groups to use. Sheila Close would be able to provide more info on cost etc. It would be beneficial if some of our group attended the EGM (I am on leave that week) and gained an insight into future plans etc, as well as raising the profile of health libraries.
Regards
Margaret
Dear Heritage User Group member,
This message concerns an EGM to be held in June, Assuming this meeting does
approve the new constitution, it will be put to a vote of you all by email.
You will be aware from previous emails that your participation in this
process is very important as without it, HUG is stuck with rules which do
not allow us to support local easy to get to events, which we know you all
want. Do please come to the EGM if you can and do please vote when asked to
in June.
Many thanks
Adam Edwards
Chair - HUG.
Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting of the Heritage Users Group
An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Heritage User's Group will be held
at 13.00 on Wednesday 5th June 2002 at Manchester Metropolitan University,
Oxford Road, Manchester. This letter constitutes the required one months
advance notice. Room details and directions will be sent to those confirming

This meeting follows the EGM held last November and the failure of
subsequent vote to approve the new constitution. In order to again seek
your approval for the constitutional change, we must fist hold an EGM to
approve that action and to approve the proposed new constitution. The EGM
will be held in Manchester in order to satisfy the current requirement for
two meetings per year.
The EGM will consider the issue of the revised constitution, which is
attached. Should time allow, there will be an open discussion on the future
of the group and in particular the creation of regional or special interest
groups. Such groups will be able to gain funding from HUG under the
proposed new constitution. The new constitution will be subject to approval
by the whole membership of HUG.
Lunch will be provided at 12:00. The EGM will start at 13:00 prompt.
