I am disappointed that the numbers for the 2 courses have dropped considerably from when I sent the reminder e-mail out last week. We are now down to 10 library managers/deputies on Monday 15th April and there are 22 places available. These course have been planned and advertised for 6 months.
The events are not just aimed at anyone who is considering changing jobs within the immediate future. They are designed to help you look at what you are doing and give you the opportunity to challenge yourselves. David and I will also be highlighting, based on our experiences of shortlisting and interviewing for posts in NW health libraries, where people go wrong in completing their application forms and things to remember for interviews.
I know that people's work circumstances change but surely this opportunity is one that should be taken when it is offered?
I'm copying in the programme for you to read again. Please call (01925 662947) or e-mail me [log in to unmask] if you would like to take up one of the empty places on the 15th (library managers/ deputies) or 16th (library support staff).
