details of a vacancy for an educational project co-ordinator post
associated with an FDTL4 project.  I would be grateful if you would

LONDON METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY

PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Educational Project Co-ordinator (Reference 02/111FX)
Fixed term contract for two years

Salary in the range £21,939 - £25,398 per annum

Applications are invited for a two-year post to work on a HEFCE-funded
project to develop and evaluate materials related to university
assessment criteria.  The post will be based in the Psychology
Department of London Metropolitan University but will also involve work
at participating institutions (including Southampton Institute and Aston
University), and liaison with a Project Worker at Liverpool Hope
University College (that post to be advertised shortly)

The project involves developing materials to improve students'
understanding of assessment criteria, designing workshops that use
assessment criteria to improve students' transferable skills, and
designing procedures to enable markers to use assessment criteria more
effectively.  All of those resources will be informed by educational
research and good practice, and will be designed for wide dissemination.
 
The successful candidate will be a graduate with good organisational and
communication skills.  A background in psychology, experience of
educational projects, and an interest in student assessment would all be
