You're right to bring this to the attention of the marker but don't hold your
breath while you're waiting for him/her change anything. Rather you could
invite him/her to read 'Teaching fo quality learning at university' John
Biggs (1999) ch 8 and 9, and (if you are feeling particularly optimistic) /or
(if you're not) John Biggs' paper to the LTSN Generic Centre's 'Imaginative
Curriculum Symposium' on November 4th 2002 entitled 'Aligning the curriculum
to promote good learning'.
Having done this my advice is for you to get on with some more rewarding for
yourself and have a happy Christmas, for which occasion, best wishes to you
