West Yorkshire Landcover Survey
Landcover GIS project - Paid work experience
White Rose Forest is responsible for promoting the use and planting of
woodland in West Yorkshire, and in partnership with West Yorkshire Ecology,
is working toward the first comprehensive landcover survey of the county.
We have opportunities for part-time work to carry out a landcover survey
analysis using aerial photographs and GIS. Experience of using GIS and
familiarity with aerial photos would be an advantage, although some training
will be provided.
Work is likely to involve 2-3 days per week for approximately 4 months and
commmencing as soon as possible.
West Yorkshire Ecology is based in Leeds City Council's Parks & Countryside
Division at the Redhall Estate, Wetherby Road in North Leeds.
